COURSE # 1:  BIBLE BASICS

REGISTRATION CODE:  Release Time 1
(Offered to 9th - 12th grade students)

This class explores The Bible with an emphasis on the Gospel of John. Students will be required to keep a notebook for class assignments, and some scripture memory will be incorporated.  The life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ will be discussed in detail.  We will investigate His miracles, parables and other teachings, and His purpose for coming to earth. The Creation and Nativity accounts will be studied, along with many other Bible passages that help us better understand the message of the Gospel. Students are encouraged to apply these principles to everyday life in order to make good choices that will benefit them now and in the future. Students will be shown positive ways they can make a difference in the lives of their peers, families, and community. Opportunities to hear from guest speakers in the community as well as service learning field trips will be incorporated.

COURSE # 2:  BIBLICAL LIFE LESSONS

REGISTRATION CODE: Release Time 2
(Offered to 10th-12th grade students, and 9th graders who have taken Bible Basics)

This class builds upon the Gospel message and principles of the Bible Basics class in greater depth. Students will be required to keep a journal for class assignments, and regular scripture memory will be incorporated.  There is an emphasis on life application skills and developing personal habits such as prayer and Bible study. We will explore various passages from the Old and New Testaments. Students will become familiar with God’s attributes, the various teachings of Jesus Christ, the early Apostles, and modern examples of the Christian faith. They will become better equipped to live as disciples, share and defend their faith, examine life’s questions through the lens of scripture, and show compassion to others.  Students will grow to understand the potential impact of their words and actions, and how they can be a part of the solution to today’s challenges.  Opportunities to hear from guest speakers in the community as well as service learning field trips will be incorporated.

H.E.L.P. MINISTRY

We have trained and highly qualified counselors serving in our H.E.L.P. Ministry.  Students are given the opportunity to meet one-on-one during their class time for Hope, Encouragement, the Love of Christ, and Prayer. We have recently added a Resource Library to further serve our students by offering them biblical guidance on a wide variety of topics. Some of these topics include anxiety, enduring trials, facing temptation, bullying, and knowing your life's purpose. Students are free to browse and borrow one of these helpful booklets confidentially. This allows us to continue reaching students beyond the classroom.
